I live in Zagreb, Croatia and have gained professional experience working at design studios and advertising agencies.
I was born on July 11th, 1981 in Zagreb, Croatia under a full name Aleksandra Bilušić. I lived in Algiers for a couple of years when I was a kid, then moved back to Zagreb. After finishing elementary school, I chose the Fashion and Design High school of Zagreb and graduated in 2000. In 2001 I began studying at the School of Design, Faculty of Architecture, University of Zagreb and achieved an MA degree in 2006. During the studies I worked as a graphic design freelancer, by myself and being part of creative teams with my colleagues. My photographs have been exhibited at various galleries, some of which are “Galerija ULUPUH-a” and “Fotogalerija KIC-a” in Zagreb and “Galerija Batana” in Rovinj.
With a solid foundation in diverse artistic and technical subjects, I have achieved a wide education in various fields beside design – in arts and art history, both classical and digital photography, various other mediums, TV and video, psychology and marketing including branding and advertising.
I worked as a designer and art director, and have also worked in fields of event management, ad campaign visuals for various media types and for various clients, and as well gained expertise in organization, filming, production and post-production. Being an art director included occasional copywriting as well. I am fluent in English and have a passive knowledge of German and Italian.
I am a Mac-addict, currently in possession of 7 Macs and 3 iPhones :) including a total balance of 9 Mighty-Mouses and a brand new Magic Mouse. My other passion is my car – a boxer-engined Alfa Romeo. And yes, I am a cat person. With total balance of 2 cats and occasional orphaned kittens.
